Synopsis:
Batti Gul Meter Chalu, an Indian drama film, is based on a social issue of inflated electricity bills in the small cities. Based in Garhwal, Uttrakhand, the movie visualizes the honest fight of 2 childhood friends, a hypocrite lawyer and an over-the-to fashion designer, after the suicide of their 3rd friend over inability to pay highly charged power bills and nowhere to go for filing a complaint. The story unveils whether SK (the lawyer) is able to sue the privatised electricity company over the case of unnecessarily over-charged electricity bills or not. SK has to put up a strong fight against the opposition lawyer, Advocate Gulnaar (Yami Gautam).
