Synopsis:
Backstabbing for Beginners is an upcoming American political thriller film directed and co-written by Per Fly. It features Ben Kingsley and Theo James in the leading roles. The plot of the movie, based on the memoirs of Michael Soussan, follows an idealistic young man who joins the United Nations’ Oil-for-Food programme with the desire to make the world a better place. While working on an assignment, he stumbles upon a major conspiracy involving the oil reserves of Iraq, which has caused death and destruction in its wake. He starts having doubts about his boss’s intentions who is possibly exploiting the programme for his own ulterior motives.
