Synopsis:

Barbie in the Nutcracker is a fantasy animated movie based on the famous Nutcracker ballet. The story begins when Barbie tells a bedtime story to her younger sister, Kelly. The story follows a young girl named Clara, who receives a Nutcracker doll as a gift. That night, the Nutcracker comes to life and asks Clara for help. Together, they travel through a magical world filled with snowflakes, candy lands, and strange creatures. Along the way, Clara helps the Nutcracker fight the evil Mouse King, who has cast a spell on him. Through courage, kindness, and belief, Clara learns the power of friendship and bravery.

The movie was directed by Owen Hurley and produced by Mattel Entertainment. The story is based on The Nutcracker by E.T.A. Hoffmann, with the screenplay adapted for children. Kelly Sheridan provides the voice of Barbie and Clara, while Kirby Morrow voices the Nutcracker. The film also features music from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker ballet, which gives the movie a classic and magical feel.
