Synopsis:
Bolden, an American musical drama film, follows the powerful, tragic, and compelling life story of Buddy Bolden, who was a cornetist based in New Orleans. Being admitted committed to Louisiana State Insane Asylum at the age of 30, Bolden had no recordings of his music left. But before this, he gained popularity for inventing a new form of music called Jazz that went on to inspire numerous musicians in the decades to come. His journey from a cornetist to a key figure and an inventor, how Bolden conceived his music against political and social context forms the rest of the story.
