Synopsis:
From the Land of the Moon is a French drama film originally titled Mal de Pierres.A young woman named Gabrielle lives in the south of France in a very small village. She is very stubborn and considered insane but later it is discovered that she is not mad but suffering from kidney stones. Her parents get her married to an honest farm worker to transform her into a respectable woman. She is sent away to a cure in The Alps where she meets an injured veteran of the Indochinese war rediscovering passionate love in her life, she finally leaves promising to run away together.
