Synopsis:
Padman is a movie in the direction to break taboos on mensuration. Akshay kumar thinks about the idea to make sanitary napkins for women. He tries to talk about it with his sisters and his wife (Radhika Apte), who all feel ashamed to discuss about the issue like mensuration with their brother and husband respectively. He even tries the sanitary napkins made by him on himself, embarrassed by his activities his wife leaves him and the whole village curse him. He starts to lose all his hopes when a social worker (Sonam Kapoor) walks in his life and helps him in achieving his dreams.
