Synopsis:
Risen is based on the Biblical story of Resurrection told through the eyes of a non-believer. Clavius is a Roman tribune who is appointed by Pontius Pilate to investigate the rumors of Yeshua’s awakening as Jewish Messiah and locates the missing body. The story unfolds as Clavius learn the truth after the events happening around.
Directed by Kevin Reynolds, Risen stars Joseph Fiennes as Clavius and Lucius’s role is portrayed by Tom Felton. Releases in February 2016, Risen did well on box office and received positive reviews from critics with 53% positive reviews and 77% audience liking it on rotten tomatoes.
