Synopsis:
Stree is an Indian Comedy Horror movie revolving around an evil spirit named Stree in a small town, Chanderi. All of the town’s menfolk fear the spirit as she appears only during the festival to abduct alone men in the night. The movie is based on a Karnataka-based viral urban legend from the 1990s, Nale Ba. Rajkumar Rao, playing as a tailor Vicky, meets a mysterious girl (Shraddha Kapoor) who too appears during festivals only. Vicky takes the charge of finding the real Stree, and instead of killing her cuts her hair only, which are believed to the power source of a spirit, only to find out later that the mysterious girl was another witch.
