Synopsis:
The Shadow’s Edge (2025) is a Chinese-Hong Kong action thriller. The story follows Fu Longsheng (Tony Leung Ka-fai), a criminal mastermind who uses modern AI surveillance to carry out a huge cryptocurrency robbery in Macau. To stop him, the Macau police bring back retired surveillance expert Wong Tak-chong (Jackie Chan).
Wong does not trust modern technology, so he uses old-school tracking and surveillance methods. He trains a young team of police officers to find Fu and his dangerous gang. The film is directed and written by Larry Yang. Jackie Chan plays Wong, while Zhang Zifeng plays his young partner He Qiuguo. Tony Leung Ka-fai plays the main villain, Fu Longsheng. Ci Sha and Wen Junhui also appear as members of the criminal team. Cinematographer Qian Tiantian and editor Zhang Yibo help give the movie its fast-paced action style.
