Synopsis:
Chhapaak is an Indian drama movie that tells the story of the unquashable human spirit that leads to strict regulations for the sale of acids in India. Malti, portraying the role of Laxmi Aggarwal in the movie, puts up her voice for the acid attack victims after she was attacked in 2005 at the age of 15. This resulted from her rejection of the advances made by a 32 years old man. Even after the acid attack, she has to go through a lot during her fight, from the investigations of the attack to court proceedings, emotional healing, and medical treatments.
