Synopsis:
Tanhaji is an Indian biographical period movie that follows the story of Tanaji Malusare, a 17th-century Maharashtrian military leader. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Maratha emperor, orders Tanaji Malusare, his general, to lead the forces and capture Kondhana so as to protect Mughals from invading the Southern India. On the other hand, the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb declares strategic hill fortress Kondhan as the capital of Southern India as he plans to expand the Mughal empire into South India and sends his trusted commander Uday Bhan to defend the fortress. This leads to a battle between the two armies to gain control over the fortress, also known by the name of the Battle of Sinhagad.
