Synopsis:
Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy anime set in a world where negative human emotions create deadly monsters called Curses. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a kind but unusually strong high-school student. One day, to save his friends from a powerful Curse, Yuji swallows a cursed finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the most feared Curse in history. Instead of dying, Yuji survives and becomes Sukuna’s host, sharing his body with the dangerous demon. This puts Yuji in constant danger, as Sukuna could take control at any moment. Even so, Yuji chooses to keep fighting to protect others, knowing his life now has a limited future.
To keep Sukuna under control, Yuji joins Tokyo Jujutsu High, a secret school for sorcerers who fight Curses. He trains under Satoru Gojo, the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer alive, alongside his classmates Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki. Yuji’s mission is to find and consume all of Sukuna’s remaining fingers so the sorcerers can destroy Sukuna forever. The series is created by Gege Akutami and animated by MAPPA. Season 1 is directed by Sunghoo Park, while later seasons are directed by Shōta Goshozono, with writing by Hiroshi Seko. The main Japanese voice cast includes Junya Enoki (Yuji), Yuichi Nakamura (Gojo), and Junichi Suwabe (Sukuna).
